COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS
In 2020 the Council started a new series called “Community Conversations”. The goal of this series is to bring together community members to address issues and brainstorm solutions through connecting our resources. With the pandemic bringing about a number of difficulties for our community, one of which being the inability to have in person events, this series has allowed community members to connect again.
Through Community Conversations we have been able to reach our community farther than we thought possible during these trying times. Here are some of the things our series has created:
The Blind Brook Community Coalition sponsored an Amazon Wishlist for the Port Chester Head Start program and Carver Center
RyeACT, Rye Youth Council, Greenwich Hospital, Open Door, and the Council partnered to bring Youth Mental Health First Aid Training to Port Chester
